CrETE

May 4th - May 11th, 2024

Mountainous and magical, Crete is known for its rich gastronomy and culture.

The largest Greek Isle, Crete is a wide island engulfed by the Aegean Sea, the Sea of Crete and the Libyan Sea. There's no umbrella-lined sandy beaches, A/C, or turn down service. Rather, people come here to spend their afternoons wandering the mountains, delighting in Cretan cuisine, and relishing this ancient village's customs and slower approach to life.

Located on Mount Psiloritis—the highest and most sacred of this Grecian island right in center of Crete—we will find our home (tucked inside an ancient village) for a week of exploration, yoga, rest, adventure, fun, and traditional Cretan gastronomy with homegrown ingredients.

Included:

  • Accommodation: 7 nights at a eco-tourism wellness resort

  • Food & Wine: Three meals per day for the duration of the retreat, cooked by the local home staff. We will go out for two meals: you are responsible for paying for yourself for those two meals. “There is a kind of flame in Crete – let us call it “soul” – something more powerful than either life or death. There is pride, obstinacy, valor, and together with these something else inexpressible and imponderable, something which makes you rejoice that you are a human being, and at the same time tremble.”
